Calm Mums Club

Feeling stressed? Do you need to take some time out for yourself?

I’ve designed the Calm Mums Club especially for you!

With over 25 years experience of working in wellbeing, I have a wealth of techniques ready and waiting to share with you! I am also a mum, so know all too well how difficult it can be to balance our own needs with those of our family. Partners, children, extended family – all needing our support. Add in work commitments and it can be hard to find a second in the day that’s just for ourselves!

I understand. I’ve been there too. But putting ourselves last all the time is no good for us at all. And in the end, it’s no good for those around us, either.

We get frazzled and short-tempered. In the end we can’t sustain the complete lack of self care we have fallen into. In the end, we can become unwell.

I have done exactly this in the past. And yes, it caught up with me. Fortunately for me, I have the knowledge and practices to help when my own health and wellbeing has taken a tumble in the past. Those same techniques have helped me enormously through a very tricky 2020 and I know I’m going to be using them to help a lot of people over the coming months, because – let’s face it – we’re ALL a bit stressed out this year!

Is the Calm Mums Club for you?

If you’re a mum who needs some time for YOU, then yes!

Alison’s classes are lovely and relaxing throughout pregnancy….I found it so helpful to keep my body moving and tune into how my body was feeling. In terms of the actual birth, the breathing I had learnt and practised with Alison helped immensely! I feel so lucky to have found Alison and my birth was the most incredible experience!

Not sure you have time?

The Calm Mums Club is designed for time-poor, frazzled mums! So although full live classes are up to an hour, you also get to pick and choose from on demand classes and practices, ranging from just 5 or 10 minutes for those busy days, up to longer, ultra-relaxing classes for when you DO have time. Plus my top tips on how to FIND more time and make yourself a priority once more!

It’s so true what they say – you really can’t pour from an empty cup. So if you feel like YOUR cup is dangerously low, I’d love to help you in the Calm Mums Club!

Be honest, how long is it since you did something purely for YOU?

Does it make you feel a bit icky to take time out, when there’s so much to do? I’ve been there too – the mum guilt that kicks in if you linger in the bath, or walk the long way home from the shops, savouring those rare moments to yourself!

But it really does make SUCH a difference to your wellbeing if you schedule in a little bit of time for YOU!

Your prenatal classes were such a haven in my pregnancy. I loved being able to completely relax in a warm, safe space, and to move gently with your guidance. Sometimes I still listen to the music from your classes and it takes me straight back to that feeling of relaxation and the lovely smell of your studio!

I was diagnosed with SPD in my first pregnancy, and was unable to stand for more than a few minutes or to walk without crutches. Alison was so supportive and caring, and more than happy to adapt her class so it worked for me too. She knew what I should and shouldn’t be doing and was very knowledgeable in techniques to help ease the pain caused by the SPD.

I was able to safely carry on enjoying Alison’s classes right up until the class before my daughter was born. The techniques Alison taught me meant I had such a good experience in labour, I truly recommend Alison to anyone I speak to.

SPD is very common in pregnant women, and people are given the impression you have to give up everything. As I found, this isn’t the case with Alison’s classes, they really benefited me in so many ways.

I started prenatal yoga when I was 15 weeks pregnant. It was the best thing in the world. After working full time in a stressful job, prenatal yoga helped relax me, release tension and gave me a chance to bond with my baby.

As well as prenatal yoga, I booked into Alison’s birth preparation class, which gave my husband and I a detailed look into birth and our choices. It also helped prepare me and gave me strategies to aid me in labour, which I put to use and which helped me stay calm throughout.

8 weeks after having my son I started postnatal yoga, which helped me get back to myself, physically and mentally. Talking to other new mums was the best thing ever.

Alison is highly experienced, knowledgeable and the most caring person I have met. My yoga classes and chats with Alison became the highlight of my week.

I would highly recommend, and do recommend, Alison to anyone who has just fallen pregnant or just had a baby! She is truly an incredible teacher.
